About: This article introduces the Stop Job node, a Special node within Construct.
Location: Node panel
Table of Contents
Feature Overview
The Stop Job node allows users to halt a job before the run process completes by testing whether there are data records entering the node or not.
Users may elect to have the job stop running if NO records are entering the node, or if ANY records are entering the node. Further the user may decide when the Stop Job node criteria is met, if the entire job should be stopped or if just the data stream containing the node should be stopped.
By default, the On Stop, request output to delete its file option is selected. This will automatically delete an output file that may have been created during the job run prior to the stopping point. This option can be unselected in order to keep created outputs.
Notes
- The Stop Job node can be used midstream in a workflow, or as the ending point of a data workflow.
- The Stop Job Node can be temporarily disabled while a job is run.
- The Set Run Order tool can be used to determine when this node is run.
