Feature Overview
The SmartyStreets node is used for validating addresses within a dataset. This can be helpful to check if the addresses in a dataset are actual addresses in the real world. SmartyStreets has a vast database of addresses that are formatted in a standard and recognized way. This node receives addresses within a dataset and the SmartyStreets node sends back suggested replacements for the addresses that are inconsistent from those submitted.
Configuration
SmartyStreets is a third party database. To use the node in Construct, users must first create an account with SmartyStreets. After an account has been created, SmartyStreets will provide you an authentication ID and Token to be used as credentials in the node.
Enter the Authentication ID and Authentication Token provided in the corresponding node fields.
The Address Field Raw Form is a boolean (true or false) option for how the node will behave. When this field is set to False, it creates new columns to provide additional information about the addresses in question. This can be helpful if you want to double check the inconsistencies in addresses as they come up.
When this field is set to True, columns are created in the exact format held in SmartyStreets database. This is helpful if you just want the replacement address and no other information.
