Replacing a Missing Connection in a Job
When a connection used in a job is deleted, its name and associated tables will still appear in the job—but they will be highlighted in red, indicating that the connection and tables can no longer be found.
Additionally, any input nodes in the job workspace that relied on this missing connection will display a warning triangle on the upper-right corner.
Options for Resolving a Missing Connection
You can choose to either remove the missing connection or replace it with a new or existing one, depending on your needs.
To Replace a Missing Connection:
Right-click on the missing connection name.
-
A context menu will appear with the following options:
Remove – If you no longer need the connection or its associated data.
Select Existing – If you’ve already created another connection that includes the necessary data.
New Connection – If you need to create a brand-new connection to the relevant data source.
Updating Input Nodes
After replacing the connection, you'll need to update any input nodes still showing the warning triangle.
You have two options:
-
Option 1: Replace the Node
Delete the input node.
Drag a new input node from your updated connection into the workspace.
-
Option 2: Update the Connection in the Node
Double-click the input node.
Expand the Current connection dropdown.
Select the equivalent table from your newly selected or created connection. This will replace the red-highlighted (missing) table with a valid one.
